1. Written by Retiredbiker on August 23, 2011 I purchased a Culligan R/O unit about two years ago. I was recently sent a card saying it was time to change the filters. I asked what the cost would be, and they said there would be no charge. I was pleasantly surprised, but went with the flow. About a week later they called and said the cost would be $145, which included ALL the filters. I figured they had originally thought I was just renting the unit, and thought "okay, it's still not totally out of line," and set up an appointment. The technician arrived and completed the job in 10 minutes, replacing three filters, but NOT the expensive R/O unit. When he finished, he said the cost was $200!!, but he would give me a 10% discount. DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING; BETTER YET, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! |
